Aviary Gallery is pleased to present New Poetics, a juried group exhibition at our location, 48 South St. Jamaica Plain, MA. 

New Poetics is a photographic exhibition curated by June T Sanders and Alec Logan Smith, in conjunction with Aviary Gallery & From Here On Out. This exhibition is made up of artists working in the photographic realm, both established and emerging. Included work was chosen for its ability to interpret the idea of poetics within contemporary photography and its relation to process, space, ambiguity, and representation. The photographs that make up New Poetics reflect the shifting complexity of the photographic image, its potential for emotional weight, and how we can- may- or will move through the natural & cultural landscapes surrounding us.
